Monday Motivation

Stephanie Sullivan, Interior Design Services and ASD Consultants are collaborating to remodel one of the oldest businesses in East Austin, King Tears Mortuary. I’ve worked with ASD Consultants in the past as one of his Project Managers. Side Note: You know where you’ve been, you don’t know where you are going! This is an exciting project, and I look forward to bringing you updates on the progress of the new design. It is a blessing and an honor to add value and vision to a building that has so much history. It has been recognized as a historical landmark by the City of Austin’s Historic Landmark Commission. A Big Thank You to Barry Franklin and the King Tears Mortuary Family for entrusting me with such a special project.

Monday’s Motivation

Sometimes starting over comes in phases!

This is a project I started last summer.

Because of the major changes that were taking place in the other parts of the home; the client was only prepared to make small changes in her family room.

We added custom window treatments and accessories.

Now, they are ready to make other changes; I suggested we start with the furniture.

My Inspiration pieces were the beautiful lighting that we chose in the first phase of the project.

Both pieces were from Currey & Company.

I am in love with their lighting selections!

Now for the Upgrades!

All of the pieces will be custom and these are the fabric selections!

The proposed pieces!

The additional challenge was to give the bar wall area a little pizzazz!

Drum Roll Please!

There is a new product on the market. It’s wood, but can be applied like tile with grout and thin set.

It’s perfect with underneath the bar area.

This is where the teenager daughter and her friends gather for snacks. There’s a lot of leg crossing and swinging going on in this area of the house!

“Taking the Fear out of Starting Over”

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Welcome to my new Blog!

My goal is to uplift, encourage and bless those of you who God has given the opportunity to Begin Again!

So what are your motivations to Start Over?

You have purchased a new home and your old furniture doesn’t work. Its’ time to Start Over!

It a new baby! That Man Cave has to make room for the new nursery. It’s time to Start Over!

The last child gone has off to college. You are finally Empty Nesters! It’s time to Start Over!

All of the above are wonderful motivators to Start Over!  It can be a little scary.

But it’s an opportunity to live on assignment with the plan and purpose that God has for your life!

Stephanie Sullivan, Interior Design Services can walk through those wonderful, yet stressful times in your life that requires you to rethink your living space.
